A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

​

Hi, I’m Matt, thank you for visiting my website and considering me as your photographer for your wedding. I have always loved photography and have a particular interest in documentary style photography. This style of photography will result in very natural pictures of you and your guests on your wedding day. I aim to follow the natural flow of the day and blend in so I can capture those special moments without you even realising. If there are any particular shots you would like me to capture we would discuss this and all the details of how you would like your photographs to before the big day.

I’m based in the South West which has plenty of stunning locations scattered throughout Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. However, I am also available to travel to your wedding destination and no destination is too far. ­­

 

MY APPROACH

 

It’s your wedding day so it’s all about you. I’m easy going and what you want is what we’re doing. Whether you have an idea in mind or you don’t, we will work out these details together. I am happy to receive and discuss and ideas that you have, finding the best way to capture these on your special day. On the day, I’ll set about capturing the different aspects of your day as well as the spontaneous and special moments shared between you and your guests.

My goal is to encapsulate the memories you create on your special day so that each time you look back over the photos you will be taken back to that exact moment.

I offer a range of different coverage options which are all tailored to your individual day. So not a one price fits all. Please get in touch with your ideas so I can give you a quote.
All packages include to following as standard

• Pre-wedding consultation before your wedding day to talk through what you want or help you decide what will work best for you.

• Password protected online gallery for you, your family and friends.

• Your edited wedding collection via digital download.

• Natural and authentic photography throughout your wedding day (with a few group shots too, should you want them)

• Oh, and me of course!

 LICENSED DRONE PILOT

​

Ok, so this adds a different look and feel to the images and video you can have of your day. As all weddings are fabulous occasions the drone at your location can really capture your setting. From close up to the action to far away capturing sweeping view in both video and still images. 

You can either book this as an add on or separately as just the drone for your day. It's up to you, but either way is great.

The Events

The Proposals

If you are planning a proposal or are recently engaged then why not capture that moment, a real moment of love. There are so many fantastic options and ways we can run proposal or engagement shoots. With a bit of planning, you could have a gorgeous session to celebrate your engagement. A photo you will both treasure.

The Big Day 

This is where all that preparation finally comes into play. From the moment I arrive to the moment I leave, I’m always on the move looking for the next shot to take. There is always so much to capture. The main timings will have been previously discussed so the rest of the time I will be working to get those great background photos that tie everything together.

After your Wedding Day

Once the confetti has settled and your journey together in married life starts, the editing begins.  I will send you a few key photos within 1 week and the remaining photos will be sent to you within 4 weeks. All your images are then available to you via a password protected viewing gallery. From here, you will be able to share, print or download all of your photos. I can also provide your photos on a flash drive, printed or within a book (additional costs will apply). Just let me know what you would prefer.

It’s a Yes from us, how do we book?

Just get in touch! Firstly, I will check my availability for your chosen date. Providing your date is available I will need your completed booking form and the booking deposit.

Dates are provisionally held for 48 hours from initial contact, booking form and deposit will need to be received to reserve your date in my diary.

Do you provide Black and White images?

Of course! I really like black and white photos. When editing, I will include a few black and white photos. However, if you have a particular image in your edited wedding gallery that you would like to have in black and white, just let me know.

What packages and services do you offer?

I offer a range of photography packages, but every wedding is different and so give me a call and we can have a chat to arrange what you want.

How many images will I get?

You will receive all the edited images in full resolution. There is no upper limit on the amount of images you will receive.

Will we meet with you before the wedding?

This is by no means essential, but I would recommend that we do meet prior to you wedding day. This will just help you to communicate what you want and let you get to know me before the big day. This meeting will also give me an opportunity to plan and arrange what I need to do to capture your day. Essentially, I don’t just want to just turn up to your wedding and not get the photos you were hoping for. I tend to become invested in my couples so that the work I produce actually means something to you and creates photos you will treasure.

Usually, I will book in a consultation a month or so before your wedding day. This will give us an opportunity to discuss your ideas. I understand that sometimes creative thoughts pop into our heads at the last moment, so you should feel free to stay in touch by phone and email with any idea updates or changes.

Will you make me pose?

No, not if you don’t want to. I have learnt that the recipe to success is to allow people to be themselves. I do offer some guidance during the couples shoots to provide you with the best results. Although, I believe that the time spent taking these shots should be used as an opportunity for the newlywed couple to have a breather from the wedding madness and just enjoy each other’s company.

The most important thing for me is to make you feel at ease and allow you to enjoy every moment of your day; the rest will follow naturally!

Can you take group shots?

Of course! While group photos are important, they can be time consuming. My advice is to keep them to a minimum, for everyone’s sake! In the long run, they won’t be the photos that you really cherish.

Do you work on your own?

Yes, I usually photograph weddings by myself. I can arrange a second photographer or assistant if necessary. This can be discussed further at your consultation.

​

Are you insured?

Yes. I am fully insured. I have professional indemnity and public liability insurance up to £2 million.

​

What do you wear to weddings?

I will usually attend in smart wedding attire. But do let me know the dress code!   

Do we need to feed you?

A meal of some form is really appreciated if it’s possible however, I am happy to cater for myself if required. Please do let me know so I am prepared.
